1957 Ford Skyliner Convertable

The 1957 Ford Skyliner Convertable grabbed headlines as the first hardtop convertable.When the top was up, it looked like a normal hardtop, but with a touch of a button, the “Mechanical Miracle” harnessed three drive motors, over 600 feet of wiring, ten relays and eight circuit breakers to simultaneously elevate the top from its mountings while raising the rear deck from the forward edge. The top would move backward and downward into what normally would be the truck
