Precision Die-Cast Metal, Front Doors and Bonnet Open, Free Wheeling

Stunned by Ford’s success with the Mustang, General Motors began designing its response in 1964. By 1966 the car had been named, the ‘CAMARO’, meaning ‘friend’. 1967 was the first full production year and a hardtop coupe and convertible were launched with powerful V6 or V8 engine. So desperate were Chevy to compete, they offered nearly 80 factory options and 40 dealers supplied accessories. The Coupe was the most popular - even more exciting though was the 28, specifically designed to compete in the Club of America Trans Am racing series. This car had competition suspension and the engine produced a staggering 298kW(400bhp). With a 225km/hr top speed, it dominated track racing in the late ‘60’s. This hand assembled replica is a fiery red tribute to an amazing racing legend!
