Kelsey-Hayes chromed wire wheels came standard on the roadster. The fenders were different than the regular T-birds in that they would not accept the normal fenders skirts. The roadster included a special gull-wing emblem/badge ove a red, white and blue crest mounted on the front fenders below the Thunderbird script. It came with swing-away steering wheel allowing the driver easier entrances and exits than traditional vehicles. The boot lid was hinged at the rear and opened automatically to receive the ragtop as it was mechanically lowered.
